Contemporary American Theatre Festival

Each summer theatre proffessionals from across the country come to this small town in West Virginia to design, build and debut 6 brand new plays in a mater of months. This festival serves as a showcase for the incredible new storys that are emerging from the American experiance of today as well as an intensive training ground for the production artists of tomorrow through their internship program. I was lucky enough to attend as a costume intern for the 2022 season where I served primarily as the design asistant for IATSE Costume Designer, Yao Chen and the two show she designed. I acted as the point of contact between her and the costume shop while assiting as a stitcher, first hand and costume crafts artisan for the 4 other shows that were being built simultaniously. I then served as a dresser for my two primary shows throughout dozens of performances for thousands of patrons.
